Pimp Your Work

Postby Stephen_Lindsay on Tue Dec 02, 2008 3:19 pm

I know that the majority of my friends and peeps that'll be hitting this board are some talented S.O.B.s!! So, by all means, use this thread to showcase your artwork!! I love to see it, and I know others will, to.

Got a book coming out? Drop some knowledge about it here!

Use me, people... USE ME!

Hey Steve-L, I'd like to bring to your attention this project I've been working on with artist Dominic Vivona, called THE SECRET CROSS.

(Oh, and some guy named Stephen Lindsay is involved too, I'm to understand.)

But yeah-- Weird War One, the horrors of battle mixed with the supernatural stuff of pure nightmares. The Secret Cross is there to defend the German Empire and Europe from nasty threats from without... and within.

Currently we're getting some strips together to put up on the site, which may later be collected into an anthology. These strips will tell various stories, ranging from the founding of the Allmacht Projekt and Secret cross in 1869 to post-WWI 1925. We even have various incredibly talented guest artists coming in and working on stories. It's awesome.

And I haven't even gotten into the main Secret Cross story yet.

Right now more information and previews can be had at http://secretcross.com/blog

Also, I'm involved with another project with Josh Wagner (FICTION CLEMENS) and artists Leo Freites and Vero Gandini. It's called SALVUS, and it's best summed up as "a horror-themed actioner buddy adventure set in the 14th Century". I like to say it's Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser meets X-Files and Warhammer Fantasy.

Here: http://www.wickermanstudios.com/comics/ ... hives.html

Then, of course, there's the webcomic me, Josh and Ryan Speck (an author-- http://www.ryanspeck.com ) do called ORCUSVILLE: http://www.orcusville.com

It follows the life of a nerdy demon god and his geek friends, primarily Nergal, Demogorgon, Vic & Vis, and Velia the Immotal Etruscan Princess. It's pretty weird and fun, and usually directed at gamers and other breeds of dork.

Annnnnd I think that's it.

Good to be here! :)

ahh, ok, since you asked and all. might as well get this outta the way.

Hi, my name is Jason and I'mma writin some comics. you may have already seen a preview of one of my projects, called Bad Intentions, written by myself and my friend, Chris George, drawn by this badass Swedish dude named Daniel, and lettered by some guy named Stephan or something. . .

Bad Intentions is the story of Quinn, an Iraq war veteran suffering from ptsd who returns home to find himself embroiled in a war of a completely different kind. A war against ghoulish evils from Arabic myth, now firmly ensconced in Quinn's world.

I'm also doing a book with Joe Vigil called Bette Noir, about a female killer loose in New Orleans and various parties that are after her.

Haham well i'm sorry to say that there ain't an english version. Beyond or as it is called in Swedish Bortom, is a horror RPG about the hidden powers of our world and what lies beyond (hence the name). It's a downtuned game that plays a lot on mood and hints more than all out gore. here's some more of my pics for the game:

Very nice, Daniel! The mood reminds me a lot of Kult (also a Swedish RPG, if I recall correctly). Hopefully one day a version comes out that I can run/play! :)

And Jason: Your stuff looks great! Look forward to reading it.

Thanks, buddy!! Yeah, it is actually abit like Kult although not really as horrible and depressing, at least it was that when i ran some sessions with it(I'm an old Kult player)! So, you've played that one? Cool!! I'll talk to the guy writing Bortom and check with him if he has any plans for doing an english version.

Nice! Please do!

And if he needs any native English speakings (edit: SPEAKERS-- hahahaha! That's so damned funny... sigh) to take an English version oot for a test-drive, consider me game. :D

Kult was the kinda game that was fun for a few sessions. Then the PCs died.

Usually horribly.

Well, the ones who didn't outright kill themselves, I mean. Certainly not a game for everyone! I remember a buddy of mine saying "This is like Call of Cthulhu, except without all the fun and dancing girls."
